Advent means "coming." We had our first night of much anticipated family Advent celebration tonight. We lit a candle, read scripture, made and ate cookies, opened the first door of our favorite Advent book, and put the first ornament on our home-made Advent tree. These are all sweet reminders of the miracle; the God who is with us. And we are expectant, excited, and preparing to remember when the Messiah came to earth to save us all.
We are celebrating His coming and longing for His return. Happy Advent to you!
