sick days and Chicagoans

We have been hit. HARD. By some nasty flu/cold bug that makes your head feel like it weighs at least 55 pounds and your sinuses feel like they are on the verge of exploding. Just keepin' it real. Everyone here is sick too and blames the changing weather which although I doubt a change in 5-10 degrees could seriously be believed I must say it makes sense given the number of folks with a bug right now. So, yesterday and today we are taking sick days (sorta). But sick days have their benefits. Movie watching and baking cupcakes for example.

Evy was underfoot with some "work" of her own; sorting & throwing limes and passion fruit. She is always busy.

We are on the mend thanks to some antibiotics for me and some rest time for the girls and getting geared up for some Chicago-ans to hit our island in just over 24 hours......faces from home, dear brothers and sisters, and new friends. We are pumped and excited to see what the next 2 weeks bring!
